NASA Names a Rock on Mars After The Rolling Stones

NASA/JPL has named a rock on Mars after The Rolling Stones. It's called "The Rolling Stones Rock" and it's a little bit bigger than a golf ball. Robert Downey Jr. made the announcement at the Stones show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Thursday night (8/22).

And it's not just any rock. On November 26th last year when the Insight spacecraft touched down on Mars, the thrusters caused the rock to roll three feet. Yeah, it's that rock!!

As you can see from the videos below, it's a pretty big deal. I mean, who else has a rock on Mars named after them?

Side note: I think NASA should also name a rock on the red planet after Brian May from Queen. haha!
