Australian Man Storms Animal Shelter in Full Tactical Gear

An Australian man was arrested in the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne earlier this week after dressing in full tactical gear and ordering a staff member to tell him “where all the cats were”.

Identified as Tony Wittmann, a 44-year-old father of 3 who had served in the Australian Army before a dishonorable discharge for “failing to render efficient service”. The newest charges he’s facing after this incident include kidnapping, false imprisonment, and armed robbery.

Just after 10:30 PM on Monday Wittmann stormed the animal shelter in full tactical gear while aiming a fully loaded assault rifle at a young female worker. He then tied her up at gunpoint and demanded she told him where they keep the cats. It seems Wittmann was looking for his OWN cat.

Earlier in the day it’s reported Wittmann went to the Lost Dogs’ Home in Cranbourne West where he was told he would be able to pick up his cat the following day - but that wasn’t soon enough for Wittmann…

Wittmann was caught on Tuesday morning and it’s still unclear whether or not his mission to retrieve his cat was a successful one, what we do know though is he has since been denied bail.

Wittmann’s Lawyer, Crystal Gomez Vazquez, is telling the court that he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder as well as multiple other physical injuries.
