Alien life could exist on Venus, says top scientists at MIT.
Last year, researchers announced the discovery of many sources of phosphine in the atmosphere of Venus, which could be an indication of life since it's often due to organic matter breaking down on Earth.
Though, not everyone agreed with this theory due to the thick cloud of sulfuric acid that completely covers the planet.
However, according to a new study, researchers believe there might be ammonia in the planet's clouds, which would make it possible for living organisms to survive, despite an atmospheric pressure 92 times that of Earth.
On average, the Morning Star's temperatures are about 847° Fahrenheit, making it the hottest planet in our solar system.
The researchers suggest the ammonia would propel a long chain of chemical reactions that can make Venus's clouds become a hospitable place to live.
"Essentially, life could be making its own environment on Venus," the researchers stated in their paper.
As of June 2021, NASA plans to send a spacecraft to Venus within 10 to 15 years.
