Florida Bride, Caterer Arrested After Guests Get Sick Off Drug-Laced Food

A Florida bride and her wedding caterer were arrested after lab tests confirmed several wedding guests were served food laced with marijuana.

The bride, Danya Glenny, faces charges including tampering, culpable negligence, and delivery of marijuana. Joycelyn Bryant, who catered the event, faces the same charges.

At the February 19 reception, multiple guests reported "feeling weird" after eating the food, and many suspected it might have been laced with drugs. One guest told deputies that he felt like he "had drugs inside him" after only consuming food and wine.

First responders arrived at The Springs Clubhouse in Longwood and treated several people complaining of stomach pains and vomiting.

According to the report, another guest said he was feeling "ill and high," and he wanted to press charges against the people responsible for possibly lacing his food. He and some other guests were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authority spoke with the bride and asked if she had consented to or requested that the food contain marijuana. According to the report, she stared at the deputy with a blank expression before saying no. Deputies attempted to locate Bryant, but the staff had already left.

After two months of testing, it was confirmed some items were laced with marijuana.

Family and friends remain angry and want an explanation for why they did it.
