An odd video shows a trio of lights that appeared to form a triangle in New York City's night sky.
The event unfolded on Sunday evening over the Bronx and confused the witness who was filming it on his cell phone.
In the footage, the man filming can be heard marveling that the orange-looking orbs are "literally flying next to each other" in a triangular formation and slowly moving across the sky. The man even talked to other bystanders who were also watching the orbs, and they all had no idea what was going on.
The footage has been picked up by several YouTube channels devoted to UFO videos, and many theories were offered for the nature of the strange lights.
One explanation said that the lights emanated from the mysterious TR-3B spy plane. Others argue the orbs were most likely lanterns.
