CLEARWATER -- Vacation rentals are allowed again by the state in more than two dozen Florida counties, including Pinellas.
But there are still some things you can't do if you rent a house on condo for a weekend.
Airbnb, the best-known name in the field, is enforcing those restrictions where they're still in place.
Airbnb spokesperson Samuel Randall says they're enforcing state rules against gatherings of 10 or more people, even at rentals where the owners have authorized parties in the past. Airbnb is temporarily disabling the “event-friendly” search filter, where guests can seek out venues for responsible parties and gatherings.
