Linkin Park Spearhead Charity To Help Power Health Centers Across Africa

Linkin Park and their fans are helping mothers and babies have safer beginnings in Africa by donating money to We Care Solar, and they're doing it in the name of Chester Bennington.

On Tuesday (July 9) the band announced on Instagram that through donations they have helped provide "light and hope to 700 health centers in 9 countries across Africa."

"In honor of Chester, your donations to @musicforrelief’s One More Light Fund have provided light and hope to 700 health centers in 9 countries across Africa," the band captioned a series of photos from health centers in Africa. "Thanks to the @wecaresolar Solar Suitcase, each of these health centers supports a safer beginning for mothers and babies. Join us. Help make deliveries safer around the world." They then urge fans to donate what they can to We Care Solar.

Bennington tragically took his own life in 2017. Since his passing, the late singer's widow Talinda began the 320 Changes Direction mental health awareness organization to help others suffering from mental illness.
