I had a chance to chat with Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell this week about their upcoming summer tour with KISS, which will be making a stop at Cruzan Amphitheatre on July 22nd! Win Tickets Here >>
In addition to touring, Def Leppard is also working on a new album.
Vivian told me this one will done over the course of three “installments,” the first of which already happened back in February at Joe Elliott’s studio in Dublin.
The next installment will be in May, but Vivian won’t be able to make that one because of some medical issues he needs to take care of before the tour.
(Listen to the interview for an update on his hodgkin’s lymphoma).
The final installment will be in November to finish it up, and they are hoping for an early spring 2015 release date.
I also asked about the new Last in Line album. You’ll be happy to know they are in the studio this week cutting 4 new tracks which will be used to secure a record a deal. If all goes as planned, that will be released by the end of this year.
