He left Cleveland and now he's leaving Miami. Lebron James has informed management of the Miami Heat that he's opting out of his contract and wants to consider other options when free agency opens July 1st. He could still sign a new deal with Miami. Team president Pat Riley says the announcement does not come as a surprise to them. Riley did say the team looks forward to sitting down with Lebron and his representatives to talk about their future together. It may end up being a good thing for the Heat because it'll allow them to restructure contracts to attract top tier talent.
