Levon Helm was unforgettable. A founding member of The Band, his drumming and singing provide us with an unbelievably deep and rich catalog of the songs of our lives. His memory will live on in the continuing “Rambles” shows played live in his Barn in Woodstock, NY.

To help Levon’s family keep the Barn active as a place for great music to be played and recorded, a bunch of his friends and people who love and revere his musical legacy got together at a benefit concert last October. The show is a remarkable tribute to Levon and the spirit of his music. Garth Hudson, Gregg Allman, Roger Waters, Bruce Hornsby, Grace Potter, Jaimoe, Jorma Kaukonnen, John Prine and many others celebrated his life in song.

And now “Love For Levon” has just been released. Two DVDs, Two CDs, 271 minutes in all. We'll have your chance to wina copy on the contest page very soon, so make sure you keep an eye out for it HERE.

The Allman Brothers’ Warren Haynes was Levon’s friend and played at the show. I talked with him about
Levon, the Love For Levon Concert, and the upcoming Wanee festival.  Listen to the interview below!
