Listen to Queens of the Stone Age on iHeartRadio

Queens of the Stone Age should be sitting on the Billboard 200 throne next week.  According to, industry sources say the group's new album, ...Like Clockwork, is on track to sell 80,000 copies before the tracking week ends on Sunday.

If that number holds up, the Queens will most likely unseat Daft Punk and take over the number-one spot on the album tally.  It would be the first chart-topper for Josh Homme's band, whose best showing came in 2005 when Lullabies to Paralyze peaked at number five.

The rockers' last album - 2007's Era Vulgaris - topped out at number 14.  The new Billboard 200 will be unveiled on Wednesday, June 12th.
